Goldberger: Waterwonders Review and Giveaway

I am always on the lookout for bath toys. My boys are so sick of the plastic rubber duckies and I can’t really blame them. I recently was given the opportunity to review 2 Waterwonders from a great company called The Goldberger Company. First a little about The Goldberger Company:

For nearly a century we have continuously created plaything of quality and delight for girls all over the world. Over the years, the Goldberger name has been Goldberger Dolls, EeGee and EG. The Goldberger Company is nearing its 100th Birthday – that’s nearly a century of creating toddler specific toys, dolls, bears and more recently toddler water wonders!
Our focus:
Playthings that engage the mind, body and soul for children aged 0 to 3 years old and their parents.
Our philosophy:
We create dolls and toys that are delightful, safe and fun, and are just as parent friendly as kid friendly – in their maintenance, their quality, and their value.
Playthings for children in their earliest years help to shape how they grow and learn. The care and attention we put into our toys is returned tenfold by the ways they nourish and teach the children who play with them.

Waterwonders — the newest introduction by The Goldberger Co. — fills a gap in water toys for children and the young at heart alike. Most pool and bath toys are designed for ages 5 and older. Goldberger has created a new line of cute and fun water creatures that are ready to be thoroughly enjoyed by all ages.
These character-based Waterwonders water toys are designed for active play in pool, lake, stream or tub. Toss them into the water and they light up and flash as soon as they’re wet! Best of all, they’ll float on the surface and wait for your child to pick them up again.
When submerged in water, these adorable creatures begin flashing. The Waterwonders toys have a special chip that stops the flashing after awhile, so your child will have many hours of play. The mechanism is both water-activated and waterproof.
Each character is individually named and has its own bio attached. Imagine the games you can invent around Albert the Alligator, Fernando the Frog, Sinbad the Shark, Shelley the Turtle, Otto the Octopus and Felicia the Fish!
And, of course, every one of our dolls comes with the Goldberger Lifetime Guarantee! All Golberger dolls have been Safety Tested and Approved for their age group. They’re always made with Phthalate-Compliant Vinyl. Most of all, after more than ninety years in the business, we understand the special connection children have with their beloved dolls — and The Goldberger Company’s belief that “dolls are meant to be loved for life” is inherent in all we do.
My take: I reviewed Albert the Alligator and Fernando the Frog…talk about adorable! My boys couldn’t believe their ears when Mommy told them they could take them into the bath tub. My 3 year old kept asking “are you sure?” I like several things about these dolls. Of course that they light up is a big plus but what is even better to me is that they shut off by themselves. I can’t tell you how many toys have died on us because we forgot to shut them off. The other thing I like is that they float. Even when surrounded by bubbles my 20 month old can easily locate his froggie as he calls him. Two big thumbs up from my household!
The price of $7.99 makes it very affordable but the thing I love the most is the lifetime guarantee!
The Goldberger Company is generously offering 1 lucky MommyPR reader their very own Waterwonders toy!
