Texas Instruments Review & Giveaway

The TI Nspire is a helpful tool for a lot more than crunching numbers. You can leave notes, graphing, and making documents. I immediately used it and loved it i was able to do complicated problems with ease. The interchangeable key boards are helpful. One for old fashioned graphing calculators and a one new one.
The new board is a little complicated but with the instructions i was able to use it without disparage. I now use it daily for homework and it is more helpful than using a scientific calculator. It is faster than some graphing calculators and i like the size of the screen.
You are able to mess with the word size and several other things. The instructions are easy to follow and is easy to get used to it. Normal calculators are able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. The TI NSpire has the order of operations. Like with a normal calculator 5+5x 10 is 100 but on the TI NSpire it is 55. Also the TI NSpire can do powers, pie, and be able to square numbers with the touch of a button.
Multiple representations and the power of visualization
The latest TI math and science learning technology features the TI-Nspire family of products and services. This technology goes beyond graphing to help students see math and science in new and different ways.
TI-Nspire and TI-Nspire CAS technology was developed hand-in-hand with educators worldwide and built on proven graphing technology which research* shows has a positive impact on student achievement. This exciting learning technology offers both handhelds and computer software for the flexibility to meet different classroom needs.
Some unique features of TI-Nspire technology let you:
- View multiple representations of a problem on a single screen
- Grab a graphed function and move it to see the effect
- “Link” representations: Manipulate the properties of one and observe instant updates to others without switching screens
- Create, save and review work in electronic documents, like a computer
- Activate the handheld’s Press-to-Test feature to block access to certain geometry features not allowed on state exams
- Experience identical functions on the handheld and TI-Nspire Computer Software (Windows© or Mac©). Your students can use the software independently or in tandem with the handheld for work in and out of class
- Project a full interactive handheld alongside a large handheld screen to demonstrate concepts to your class usingTI-Nspire Computer Software – Teacher Edition
