Penny & Rio Review And Giveaway
In our house, we are dealing with “Learning To Read”. In fact just yesterday was our 1st Meet The Teacher day. We discussed all the positives and improvements. One was of course reading more.
Then arrives.. Penny & Rio!
What is better than 2 stories about doggies, then a cute crime solving story about Penny & Rio. Lets start with book 1- The Mysterious Backyard Meeting.
This is the 1st book of the series. Penny & Rio are 2 pet detectives who wonder why the local animals are all meeting up in their backyard. Penny wants to know ,and seems to be the the snoopy one. She has to get Rio her sister to join her but Rio just wants to sleep away the day lol. Well it turns out that a cat named Buster was going to break into a dog named Fifis house ! Ahhhhh!…. I cant tell you want happens, but just know, that Penny is great detective!
The 2nd book is the sequel and is called – The Locked Doghouse Mystery.
Another great mystery for Penny & Rio. They are called to help a little mouse named Squeaky (of course!). Squeaky needs help getting into a locked doghouse next door. But a Great Dane is guarding the door and may not let him in. Penny & Rio decide the best way to get Squeaky in, is to tip over the house. But will it work?? You have to finish and see.
About The Author-
Jennifer was born with the love of reading. At the age of 5, she was already writing and illustrating her own stories. When she was in second grade, she wrote a play and coerced her friends to help her produce it. She has been writing ever since.
About The REAL Penny & Rio-
Penny and Rio were two lovable dogs who brought my family great joy in their long and happy lifetime. They were very much like the characters in my book. Penny and Rio were wonderful pets. We rescued them both from the Norfolk, VA SPCA. What a great day it was when they joined our family.
