Affresh Review & Giveaway
After moving into my previously foreclosed house a few months ago, I took on a mass load of work to accomplish in the house. I set about painting, scrubbing, or replacing every surface in the house which has proven to be time-consuming and expensive! I’ve lived in my home now for just under 5 months and still have plenty to accomplish. One of the larger tasks that’s been hovering over my head (and over my wallet) is the horrible smell escaping from under my kitchen sink. It is very clear that the kitchen sink sprang a couple leaks over the years before my purchasing it. I suspected the water damage to the cabinets below the sink were smelling and needed to be replaced. Little did I know…
I recently contacted Whirlpool inquiring about a review to share with you! A little birdie must have told Whirlpool to send the new Affresh dishwasher and garbage disposal cleaner for my review. Once in my hands, I opened the package and was overwhelmed with the lovely lemony fresh scent from the Affresh tablets. I would have been content to set the package down to review later, but the lemon scent encouraged me to read through the instructions immediately.
Since my dishwasher is broken I was only able to test Affresh on my garbage disposal. The steps were easy to follow so in a matter of minutes my whole kitchen and dining room smelled like that great lemon scent! I was so pleased with how well Affresh had worked – I wish I could have tested it on that dirty, unusable dishwasher taking up space in my kitchen. I returned to my kitchen a few hours after using the Affresh tablet and it not only smelled so great, but that lingering odor which I previously thought was from the cabinet under the sink was gone as well! I would never have imagined it was gunk in my garbage disposal that was the source of the foul odor under my sink, but I’m very happy to say that the stench is gone now! It’s been over a week since I used the Affresh on my disposal and even though the lemony scent has dissipated, the nasty smells are gone! Luckily, all I have to do from now on is use the Affresh tablet once a month to keep the nasty smells away for good, which is much more affordable than replacing the cabinets as I had previously thought!
