Sleeping has been one of my biggest challenges during pregnancy. I’m a stomach sleeper, I have one position, on my stomach that I sleep in and it’s the only way I can sleep. So you can imagine how hard it was when I was 7-9 months pregnant with my son, throw in puking my guts out and well, I didn’t get much sleep. I tried a body pillow, in every kind of position imaginable, didn’t help. But, thankfully I came across the Utterly Yours Pregnancy Pillow and have a feeling sleeping won’t be a problem in a couple of months.
Not only is it impossible to sleep on your stomach when it’s the size of 10 basketballs, but did you know doctors actually recommend sleeping on your side, your left side? When you sleep on your left side it helps take pressure off the back and keeps the uterus off the large organ; the liver. It also optimizes blood flow to the placenta and, therefore, the baby.
The Pregnancy Pillow helps pregnant women sleep comfortably with their unique cubic design. When the pillow is opened, it forms two triangles. The Memory Foam on one half of the pillow conforms to the mother’s belly. The other half of the pillow is made of a higher density foam to support the back while keeping the body comfortably positioned to one side. The fabric that connects the two triangles stretches to accommodate women as their bodies grow throughout their pregnancy.

Honestly, I was pretty interested in this pillow from the very first time I saw it. I was thinking to myself, how could that be comfortable?! It really doesn’t look that comfy, but it really is! I was VERY impressed when I first tried it. My back was very much supported. It kept me in a comfortable position without making me feel like I can’t move. I LOVE how beautiful each pillow is. The colors and deigns are so pretty and they are made very well. One of my favorite things is that it folds up into a box, even has a button to secure it, and it comes with a plastic zip bag to store it when not using. This is a must for any pregnant woman! Add it to your registry ladies, this pillow will be your best friend! LOVE it!
