Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil For Hair Treatment Review & Giveaway

I have to admit I am totally hooked on Tropical Traditions coconut products! Remember my recent review of the Virgin Coconut Oil?
If not, you can find it here along with a recipe for a home made sugar scrub. During that review many of you mentioned that you would like to try the Virgin Coconut for Hair Treatment, so I am working with Tropical Traditions again to bring you this product review and another great giveaway!
We received the oil and I have to admit I was a little unsure of how we could best utilize this product. I have super fine hair and so does Rylee. Hanna has thick, wavy hair. I decided we would try one of the suggestions and rub a little on the ends of the hair after it was freshly washed, and work it up the hair lightly. We did this and they both smelled amazing! The next morning I noticed that both their hair was looking a bit on the oily side. Rylee’s more so than Hanna’s.
I decided that we needed to try the pre wash treatment and applied it to both of their hair and scalp before they washed it the next time. We left it on for about 10 minutes and then washed and conditioned as usual. The next day Rylee’s black hair was so incredibly shiny and soft! Hanna’s was really nice too, but I think on Rylee’s straight black hair you could just see it so much better!
This also works as a really great treatment for dry scalp. My youngest daughter tends to have dry skin including her scalp. We just apply this treatment on about 30 minutes before bath or shower and it really helps improve the condition of her scalp!
Now what the girls really love is that I rubbed the coconut oil for hair treatment on their arms, back and shoulders before they got out of the tub. They both ”oooh’d” and “ahhhh’d” and their skin stayed so soft and beautiful! They kept wanting to show me how smooth and soft their arms were. This works not only as an amazing hair and scalp treatment but an absolutely fabulous skin moisturizer and massage oil!
The dogs love it too because now the girls apply this after every bath and they also put some on their legs. As soon as they step foot out of the bathroom the dogs are running after them trying to lick their wonderful smelling legs!
Since my last review I have continued to use the sugar scrub made with the Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil and I want to share with you what a difference it has made for me! I have had skin trouble for a long time, mainly itching and hives. Since I have been using the Coconut Oil daily, I no longer have this problem. I can’t even express how much of a difference this has made for me and I no longer feel like I am going to go crazy with itching!
Along with my original review, I received the book Virgin Coconut Oil, How it has changed people’s lives and how it can change yours! By Brian & Marianita Jader Shilhavy. This book contains all kinds of interesting information about the benefits and research that people have experienced in using the coconut oil in their daily health and diet plan. It is also full of wonderful recipes – 85 of them in fact – and ideas on ways you can use the oil.
You can still get the book for free: This book is available to you at no charge if you take part in Tropical Traditions Referral Program. If you place an order with them as a first-time customer, please select “Referred by a friend” and then in the box that says “How did you hear of us?” enter my sponsor ID number #5356768. By telling Tropical Traditions that I referred you, you will receive a complimentary copy of the book with your first order!
One of the things I love about Tropical Traditions is their commitment: “We have a strong commitment to family farming and organic standards. But the organic label is not enough for us. We research and find out where the products are produced, and how they are produced. We find that some organic standards too loose for our trust, so we look beyond what is claimed on a label. We find out as much as possible about those who provide the products. And if a certain quality of product does not exist, we will work with others to produce that product and offer it to our consumers. We did that with Virgin Coconut Oil in the Philippines, and we are working on several other products both here in the US and outside the US that we plan to introduce to you soon.”
Tropical Traditions also has a great sales newsletter that showcases their wonderful specials. Since my last review, I was able to take advantage of a buy one get one free special on their Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil. They offer so many wonderful and organic products that are really worth checking out and all can be purchased directly from their site at www.tropicaltraditions.com.
