Toilet Buddies Review/Giveaway

tb2-vert

I was browsing the internet one night trying to find something to help me with my son’s potty training. I came across the website The Toilet Buddies. I was immediately curious about the site just from the name alone. I found the cutest things I have ever seen. Animals that you put on your toilets to help your little ones from being scared of the potty. This idea was amazing to me. My son, who is 3, would not use the potty for any reason. Not even the little potty chair we bought him. He was rather happy using his diaper. I was so happy when The Toilet Buddies agreed to let me do a review and give the Mommy PR readers some giveaways.

When I received the package with the products they had some strands of toilet paper in there also..LOL..Awww, these guys are so funny. I loved getting emails from them. They are the funniest people I have ever received  emails  from. They crack me up..I love the names they gave their Toilet Buddies. Poo-Poo Panda, CaCa Cow, Poo P Bunny, Puddles Puppy, Gatago Giraffe, Octo-Poo, Cocky Cat, Chimpan-Pee, Doo-Doo Duck, Smellephant, Can Go Roo, Leaky Frog and P.P. Pig. I think those names are really funny and they seem to fit well with belonging on a toilet. I was able to review the CaCa Cow and Poo P Bunny. My son loves the new big potties. To be honest my whole family likes them. It is decorations for your toilets that are unique. I love showing our Toilet Buddies off and  telling people the names. I know, I said it before,  but I just get a kick out of it. I am proud to say that my son is using his potty chair now. Not the big potties with the Toilet Buddies on them but his little potty chair. I am just happy that when he is going to make the switch he will not be afraid of the big potty. That is a big relief to me. No one wants their child afraid of the potty but let’s face it sometimes they are scary to children at the beginning of the process.

The Toilet Buddies mission is to help initiate readiness and promote early awareness of the toilet bowl in order to make toilet training easy, clean and fun for children and their caregivers.

Here is something I pulled off their site that I thought was interesting. The Toilet Buddies Philosophy:

When is the right time to start toilet training my child? This is by far the biggest question among professionals, parents, and caregivers. If you ask ten people this question, chances are you will receive ten different answers. Over time the answer has increased from 2 to 6 years of age. The most common answer given is “your child will let you know when he or she is ready.”

Pediatricians agree that a child develops control of their bodily functions at approximately 18 to 19 months of age. Therefore, starting toilet training before 19 months doesn’t make much sense if your child’s body isn’t physically ready. Parents and caregivers who start toilet training too early and have no success are advised by experts to wait a few months and then start again. The very thought of this points directly toward teaching procrastination at the earliest stage of life.

Endorsed by Pediatricians, Child Psychologists, Parents and Caregivers, Toilet Buddies are designed to open up family communication, peak children’s interest, and most importantly initiate toilet training readiness. They empower children to explore the toilet and bathroom independently with fun and humor. So, no matter what age you start toilet training your child, you should be persistent and keep a positive healthy attitude. Ultimately the best way to nurture your child is with encouragement and love.

Remember: The first lesson in life is a template for them all.
