The Klutz Book of Balloon Twisting Review

If you love doing crafts and activities with your kids then you will love Klutz!

They have something fun for everyone!  The Klutz credo is this: “Create wonderful things, be good, have fun” and that is exactly what they do!  Klutz has been creating innovative multi-sensory designed books since 1977 and have an amazing selection of fun, hands-on projects that you can do with your kids.

balloontwistingWe had the opportunity to review The Klutz Book of Balloon Twisting which has just been newly released.  My kids were super excited to try this one out, but I was a bit hesitant.  I did not want to disappoint them with a big heap of balloon knots.  BUT I need not have worried because the step by step directions are so easy to follow!

We started with something small (and I admit easy) and made each of the girls balloon swords. Following the step by step directions the assembly went off without a hitch – or a “pop”!  For the next three days our home was transformed into sword central and everything started and ended with a sword fight!  Such fun the girls had swatting, stabbing and bonking each other over the heads.  They were extremely disappointed to find that the swords had mysteriously disappeared one day while they were at school (they looked accusingly at the dogs that were lounging oh-so-innocently on the coach! Ahem…).IMG_1930

Next I tried to talk them into something like the Basic Helmet or maybe the Screwball Hat, but no they would have none of that!  They went right for the biggie – the Bike!  I coaxed, prodded, showed off the wonderful features of the other possibilities, but their minds were made up.  “Mommy please will you make us the bikes?”  I skeptically looked through the instructions, sucked in a big sigh of defeat and reluctantly agreed to TRY to make them bikes, but they had to help.

IMG_1938Well, the instructions were so easy to follow that we were able to make a bike for both girls!  I know – I amazed myself too!  We only popped one balloon the whole time too!

When we got done with that the girls were off and running with their balloon toys and I decided to make Rylee a flower bracelet, since she loves flowers so much. Yes, it’s true… I was playing with the balloon twisting all by myself with no kids around!  Making the balloon toys with my kids was so much more fun that I thought it would be and we had an absolute blast doing this together!

The Klutz Book of Balloon Twisting includes the instruction book, filled with lots of pictures and 11 projects,  40 Balloons and a pump!  Everything you need for super fun projects!
