Pirate’s Booty Review
A couple of years ago I was introduced to an all natural snack called Pirate’s Booty. I was instantly hooked on their Aged White Cheddar. Imagine my surprise when I found out that Pirate’s Booty has many more flavors! I knew I had to contact them!
Pirate’s Booty is made by Robert’s American Gourmet Food. These products delectably crunchy, all-natural, baked, trans fat, gluten free and possess great subtle flavors that will have you craving more!
What are the quality standards of Robert’s ingredients?
- All-natural
- Gluten free
- Trans fat free
- No preservatives
- No artificial sweeteners
- Kosher
I contacted the company for a review and they immediately sent me products…imagine my surprise when the UPS box came and what did I find? An actual treasure chest full that was full of goodies. There is no better idea for promoting Pirate’s Booty then a pirate’s chest. Once the boys saw what was inside they immediately headed for the kitchen table for snack time…LOL. There are 3 different variety of products:
1) Pirate’s Booty (crafted from Puffed Rice & Corn)
- Aged White Cheddar: blended with real aged white cheddar cheese
- Veggie: a medley of fresh veggies including spinach, kale, spinach, and parsley
- Barbeque: smoky sweet flavor of honey-spiked barbeque
- Sea Salt & Vinegar: blended with aged balsamic vinegar & coarsely ground sea salt
- Bermuda Onion: seasoned with garlic, green chives, & sweet Bermuda onions
- Crunchy Corn Sticks: crafted from the finest milled American Corn
3) Smart Puffs
- Real Wisconsin Cheddar: made from the finest milled American Corn & tastiest Wisconsin Cheddar
My take: We went to my parents’ for the weekend so I decided to take all these tasty treats with. The only stipulation I made to my family that I at least got to have a taste of everything so I could write my review….everyone could not wait to dig in. Our favorites: Aged White Cheddar, Barbeque, Sea Salt & Vinegar, and the Real Wisconsin Cheddar Smart Puffs. I really love how healthy these snacks are: each Pirate’s Booty has 130 calories, Original Tings 160 calories, and the Smart Puffs 140 calories. My only word of warning: pour out how much you want to eat before you begin because before you know it, the bag will be empty since it tastes so good!
