LogiTech Webcam Pro 9000 Review & Giveaway

I have never considered myself a “technologically advanced” person – in fact I’m quite computer illiterate at times. Luckily, when LogiTech® sent me their Webcam Pro 9000 to review, I realized very quickly that it was designed for the person who is computer challenged but it remains an advanced piece of technology. I put it to the test immediately which started with the dreaded installation. To my surprise, installation was very easy. I popped in the disk, plugged in the webcam via a USB port, clicked a couple of “next” buttons and everything else happened for me. I didn’t even have to restart my computer!

Once up and running, I had the option to send video call invites to my friends and family. The Webcam Pro 9000 comes with it’s own free video call service, known as Vid, and will send the call invites to your friends/family through its system once you type in their email address. After I accumulated myself a couple of friends, I created a more personalized view of myself – you have the option to add an avatar like this shark (which makes me laugh every time I see it!) who will mimick your movements:

The LogiTech® Webcam Pro 9000 was easy to set up and use, but was also more advanced than I had imagined. It has an auto-focus feature (yes, I tested it by moving quickly and seeing if it would auto-focus on me again – yes, it passed my tests!). The webcam also has what’s known as “Logitech® RightLight™ 2 technology” which means that even in dark or dim light, you still have a clear video of yourself so the person on the other end of your call will see you perfectly. Again, I put this to the test and was amazed that it still captured a clear picture of me without any lights on except the television light.
LogiTech® sent me an extra Webcam Pro 9000 to giveaway to a lucky Mommy PR Reader as well! (ARV $99.99) And remember, the webcam comes with the FREE LogiTech® Vid video call service!

The C600 looks like a great webcam as well, heck they all looked great compared to the $10 junk I bought on ebay that I still have and never use because it is horrible.
