Tria Beauty Laser Hair Removal System Review Part 2
About 2 months ago I introduced you to a product that I have been reviewing: the Tria Beauty Laser Hair Removal System. Click here for that review. As before I am going to tell you a little about the company:
Imagine a life free of unwanted hair – TRIA Beauty makes it possible.
TRIA Beauty didn’t just miniaturize the technology – we invented it.
Experience the same gold-standard technology that TRIA Beauty’s team of scientists invented for the professionals – in the privacy of your own home.
Get lasting results.
Not only is the TRIA System FDA-cleared and simple and safe to use, it delivers long-lasting, hair-free results that until now were available only at a doctor’s office.
Save time.
Skip the next trip to the salon and opt for treatments that now take mere minutes to complete — thanks to the TRIA System’s faster, improved technology.
Save money.
Based on national averages, the cost of professional hair removal on the legs, underarms, and bikini line only is upwards of $10,000 for a complete course of treatments. The TRIA system delivers the same long-lasting results at just $795 for the entire body.
Stop shaving.
Stop waxing.
Go ahead, bare it all…
You’re just 6–8 months away from a hair-free existence.
In the first part of the review I shared with you how to use the system and who is able to use the Tria. Today I am going to give you an update and explain how it works on the hair follicles.
I have been using the Tria Beauty Laser Hair Removal System for 2 months now and I am definitely pleased with the results so far. So far I have used the system every 2 weeks (4 times). No I am not hair free (you will understand why not in a couple of minutes) but the hair that does grow back is much softer and much lighter than before. I am a brunette and it is very noticeable when I have hair on my legs….now the hair is hardly noticeable after 2 weeks of not shaving…woo hoo!
Now why does the hair still grow back after 2 months of using the Tria Beauty Laser Hair Removal System?
It’s all about selective photothermolysis. Big word – simple to understand.
Photothermolysis is the process by which the TRIA System’s laser energy targets the dark pigment in the hair, where it is transformed into heat that disables the hair follicle. This targeted process causes the hair to gradually fall out and stop growing back.
It is important to understand that visible results are not immediate because hair grows in cycles.
During any single treatment, some hair follicles will be dormant with no visible hair growth and some will be in a growth cycle, where the hair is visible on the surface of the skin. To benefit from laser treatment, the hair must be in the growth cycle (visible prior to shaving) during treatment.
For optimal results, we recommend one treatment every other week for the first three months then one treatment per month for 3-5 months. This is the average amount of time it takes for the majority of the hair follicles to move through the growth cycle and be treated.

Ok enough about the science part! I am really pleased with my progress and will be back in 2 months for another update…see you then!

I use the ripper-outer methods- epilady, gently gold etc and the hairs grow back much finer, silkier and no stubble as well as some not growing back at all. I want to try the Tria but I’m a little iffy since it is a) very pricey and b) everyone review I’ve seen so far has been short term (less than 6 months) and it is too steep an investment if the results are no better than I am getting now.
I’ll be keeping track of your progress, though, as I am really interested.
If they ever ask if you know any good candidates for reviewing, please keep me in mind.

I want to know more about the TRIABeauty hair removal process you are going through and what the next phase brings you. How do I keep up with your process?
I read this somewhere and would like to add here :-
“Blistering is a rare effect of laser hair removal and occurs when the energy of the laser burns the surrounding skin tissue of the hair follicle. Risks of blistering may be higher for those that spend a significant amount of time in the sun or a tanning salon before the procedure.”
Well let me start by saying I am a male. A hairy male. Damn-near every male on my father’s side is hair and I didn’t want to be. I spend years looking for something to handle it. But always went back to shaving.
When I heard about the Silk’n I knew I’d be getting it.
Now some of the reviews I’ve seen on here don’t strike me as being too fair. Some reviewers are saying that the Silk’n won’t work on the thick hair of men. Not true! My hair is pretty thick. Maybe they just weren’t lucky like me to be a light skinned Spaniard.
But here are the down sides as I see them:
*It will take multiple treatments. I’m about 2 months into using it every other weekend.
*The more darker parts of your body you use it on will have a slight burning feeling for about a day at most (be sure to read the warnings about skin tone).
*AND the actual size of the area that gets treated w/ each flash is smaller then I thought. As a result I can see patches of hair on some areas that I guess were getting missed. I think this is another reason why some people aren’t happy w/ the Silk’n — they’re not treating the same spot everytime. It (The Silk’n) looks like it only covers about a square inch of skin. But the areas that I know for a fact have been treated everytime have NO hair growth.
All in all, I’m really really happy w/ the Silk’n.
