Live and Dream Green- ReSnackit Review & Giveaway

My oldest daughter always buys lunch as school and has pretty much since Kindergarten.
So last year when my littlest started school I knew things were going to change. She is a picky eater and took her lunch everyday. I have to admit by the end of the year I was feeling pretty guilty of day after day… one plastic bag for the sandwich, one plastic bag for the crackers, one plastic bag for the fruit and so on… you get the picture. The thought of my child loading the trash with all these plastic bags along with a majority of the other children doing the same made me feel bad.
Did you know that approximately 20 million plastic baggies are thrown away every day in US schools?
One average child’s lunch waste creates about 67 pounds of waste per year! This year when I started planning ahead for school I decided to do some checking into what alternatives I could find. That’s how I came across ReSnackit’s!
These little bags are reusable and washable and come in sandwich size or snack size. These snack/sandwich bags are made out of cotton fabric and lined with a specially coated nylon that is free from lead, BPA, Phthalates and PVC. They close secure with Velcro to keep the
food inside nice and fresh.
Live and Dream Green LLC was founded by a stay at home Mom who wanted to encourage “earth- friendliness” by creating bags that are stylish and cool while still being earth conscience! The really great thing about these bags is that they clean up so easily. You can wipe it down, throw it in the dishwasher or even the washing machine! Air drying will prolong the life of the bag – pretty easy right?
We were sent the sandwich bag in Burst of Lime and it is adorable!
ReSnackit bags are available on their website at www.resnackit.com and run $8.99 for the sandwich size and $6.99 for the snack size.
Live and Dream Green LLC is giving one lucky MommyPR reader a chance to win their own sandwich size ReSnackit!
