Goodbyn Lunchbox Review

Today I am going to introduce you to a fantastic lunchbox for kids from a company called Byndoo.  First a little about Byndoo:

Byndoo LLC is a small company with a big goal: we want to reinvent the way kids eat lunch. We’re making lunchtime easier, more inspiring and fun for both kids and parents.

The story begins in 2007 with Erin Franczyk, a Seattle mother of three searching for an alternative to the waste she was creating when preparing her kids’ lunches. So many plastic bags! Surely there had to be a more cost-effective and environmentally friendly option. She asked a friend (co-founder Rob Grennan) for help — and that’s when the Goodbyn™ lunchbox was born!

What is the Goodbyn Lunchbox?   The lunchbox utilizes five compartments perfectly sized — and perfectly designed — to keep kids’ lunches from spilling, sloshing or mixing. Sandwiches won’t taste like your banana and your chips won’t co-mingle with your cookies!

Made entirely of FDA-approved materials, the Goodbyn lunchbox is dishwasher-safe and made to last. And when it’s time for a new one, the Goodbyn lunchbox is 100 percent recyclable.   The Goodbyn lunchbox does away with wasteful plastic bags and drink boxes. Parents can save an estimated $190 per child each year on these two items alone. That’s good news for Mom and Mother Earth!

My Take:  I love this lunchbox!  It comes with over 275 stickers so each child can personalize their Goodbyn Lunchbox.  The stickers include fun designs such as eyes, noses, mouths, several variations of the letters of the alphabet, and other great designs.  It did take us several minutes to decide what we wanted on our lunchbox!  It indeed dishwasher safe…I had no problems running it through the dishwasher.  I love that you fill the enclosed plastic bottle with ice and liquid and it also serves as an ice pack.  The built in handle is a great feature also.

The only thing to caution you about…take the time to read how to securely fasten the lunchbox to secure a correct seal.  I went over the instructions with my oldest and after 5 or 6 tries he got the pattern down.

The Goodbyn lunchbox comes in 4 great colors and retails for $34.95

Due to an overwhelming demand for the Goodbyn lunchbox, orders placed after August 14th will ship on or before September 10th, 2009.

Wow these are so cool! I love the little water bottle too – all the water bottles I have found are too big for my youngest girl!

Very cool! What a great idea! And I love the idea of kids putting stickers on their lunchboxes because they’re SUPPOSED to.
