My 3 year old loves “art time” as we call it at our house.  Whether it is coloring, drawing with markers, using sidewalk chart, or painting he jumps up and down at the chance to do it.  I was able to review a really great product called Do Art Travel Easel from Creativity for Kids.  First a little about Creativity for Kids:

In 1976 Phyllis Brody and Evelyn Greenwald, the founders of Creativity for Kids, had a dream that their unique concept of enriching, open-ended creative activities would inspire children all around the world.  With hard work, a dedicated mission and respected friendships along the way, their dream became reality.

Their mission statement:

Our mission is to provide children with experience that stimulate and encourage their natural creativity

Children are Important to Us

We strive to be the leading innovator and provider of the best creative children’s activity products

Children Deserve Our Best

We operate our buisness in a responsible and caring way, valuing the contribution of each customer, employee, and friend

Children Inspire Us

I really love their mission statement, it is exactly what I look for in a company.

What is the Do Art Travel EaselFilled with premium artist quality Faber-Castell materials, this portable art studio is the perfect gift for young artists ready to graduate from crayons. This 34 piece set includes Faber-Castell pastels, markers, chalk, a white board marker, colored pencils, a pencil sharpener, a sponge and a drawing pad. Multi-functional surfaces include: a chalkboard, white board and a drawing easel. Designed with storage in mind, all of the materials fit neatly inside when not in use.

My take:  I love how much storage this product has and how everything is portable.  When you are done using it, everything fits into the main section and folds up like a briefcase and has a built in handle.  The colors of the drawing products are bright and vibrant and my son had so much fun drawing on all the surfaces:  drawing pad, white board, and chalk board.  He had no clue where to start he was so excited.

I like how it is not your typical black board because I can’t tolerate the nails scraping sound they can make.  The Do Art Travel Easel also has clips near the white board section so you can secure paper so it won’t slip.  I also like the different positions you can use to draw:  a lap board or a drawing easel.  The only thing I wouldn’t let him play with is the pencil sharpener but told him he could use it with my supervision.  I really have no bad things to say about this product!

The Do Art Travel Easel from Creativity for Kids retails for $29.99.
