Piggy Paint Review & Giveaway

If you are looking for nail products that are safe for your little ones then you will definitely want to check out Piggy Paint!

Piggy Paint nail polish is designed especially for children and is water-based, non-toxic and is formulated using natural ingredients AND no foul odors!

We were sent a bright and shiny blue bottle of Piggy Paint along with a bottle of Piggy Paint Polish Remover for review. My girls loved the bright blue color (Tea Party for Two) and the sparkles that were in the paint. My 9 year old picked up the bottle of polish remover and said “So this isn’t supposed to smell bad, right?”. I told her that she was right and these products should not have the strong smell that our other nail products have. She looked skeptical as she opened the bottle and held it to her nose. She sniffed over the top of the bottle and then tried it again. “Huh, it really doesn’t stink Mom!”

So there you go, straight from the mouth of a 9 year old. The Piggy Paint and the Polish Remover really do not have the standard strong odor that always seems to come with painting our nails.

Here’s Why (taken from Piggy Paint’s site):

“Piggy Paint™ is specially formulated from God’s natural ingredients and dries to a hard, durable finish. There are no toxic chemicals; it’s free of formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, biphenyl A, ethyl acetate and acetone. Click here to see how our polish compares!

Say good-bye to harsh, smelly chemicals and hello to Piggy Paint™…it’s as Natural as Mud!

Piggy Paint™ Ingredients

Water, water-miscible acrylic and polyurethane film formers and thickeners (well below 100 parts per million), glycol ethers. May contain mica, D&C red lake, ultramarine blue and chromium, iron and titanium oxide pigments.”

The instructions say to apply 2 to 3 coats, but we had such nice coverage with only one coat that we decided to stop there and see how it held up. They are on day three with really no chipping yet. We also achieved total coverage with only the one coat, which in our experience is rare for a children’s polish.

My Thoughts:
I found this to be an excellent product for my daughter’s nails and I feel comfortable knowing that the formulas are non-toxic and free from harsh chemicals. They have a great variety of bright colors that should please any young girl and achieve maximum coverage using only a small amount of polish!
