I was recently thrilled to be given the opportunity to review the Lifestyle Fold-Away Wall Mounted (Vertical) Ironing Board.
Ironing is something that we have struggled to find the space for since we moved into our home about a year and a half ago. Our laundry room is off of our kitchen so we usually end up storing the board in the garage and then bringing it into the kitchen and setting it up when we need to use it. Though this has worked it is definitely not convenient or efficient!
When my board arrived the delivery man left it on my front porch. I went out to get the package and could hardly pick it up to bring it inside – this package was so heavy!!! It was completely obvious that the board inside was NOT going to be flimsy! I was also a little bit worried about how such a heavy board was going to hang on a wall!
We surveyed our options. The small narrow laundry room wall, our bedroom, our bedroom closet… we actually hauled the ironing board around the house looking for the best option. We finally agreed that the most convenient spot was still the laundry room, even though the room is small and narrow.
We got to work clearing a space on the wall that was currently used as our area for hanging sweatshirts etc… We located a stud and really within just a few minutes had the whole thing installed and ready to use. Installation couldn’t have been any easier!
As you can see in the photo, we installed it right behind the door. The ironing board is so compact that it does not effect the door opening at all! It is so narrow when put away – it only sticks out less than 5 inches total from the wall! The board is very sturdy on the wall and swivels in both directions. It works perfectly in this small, narrow space and really because of how easy it is to adjust in any direction gives several options for positioning yourself within the room for ironing!
It folds up so compact and the cover slides right over the board when you are not using it. When you want to use the board there are convenient hooks under the board that the cover hangs on. The color matches perfectly with our trim color too!!!
My thoughts: I am so pleased with the compact design and sturdy quality of this ironing board! If you have limited room, or just hate having to pull out a big board every time you do the ironing, you will love the convinence and quality of this product! It looks nice and neat up on the wall installed the way we did it or there are several other options for installation as well, including installing it in a cabinet!

This is such a coincidence I was just about to throw my ironing board away but decided to hold on to it until I can get another one. Recently my ironing board a cheap metal one has gotten its leg bent so its very hard to fold or even use and I told my husband that I have always wanted to have the type that is wall mounted, they way its out of the way when not needed and taking up storage space in our little house and it won’t get used as a collect all or be in the way and would always be handy for when you need it. The Foot Thing is so practical. I want one!

I would love this ironing board!
I’m a mom of 6, and have replaced countless flimsy
metal leg ironing boards. I have resorted to ironing on a towel

I no longer have an Ironing Board as it finally was on its last leg. So I just use a towel on my kitchen counter for now.
